About Us
Good design doesn’t just happen.
At PBD, we believe in asking the right questions, exploring the creative possibilities, and developing solutions that are simple, beautiful, and effective. For more than 20 years, we’ve collaborated with clients to tell stories, drive conversations, engage customers, and build businesses. Whether you need a full-fledged collateral system, a new website, a refreshed brand, innovative packaging, or a cut-through-the-clutter mailer, we can deliver a solution that’s on time, on budget, and on the mark. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. The fact that we have longstanding relationships with so many of them is testament to this philosophy. Our goal? To act as a valued partner who can help you think through challenges and brainstorm new approaches, while having a little fun along the way.

Meet the Team
Shannon Beer
PRINCIPAL
A designer and creative director with more than 20 years of experience, Shannon develops strategic directions aimed at elevating the client’s voice. Prior to cofounding PBD, Shannon held design positions at Forsythe Design, Stoltze Design, and a national electronics manufacturer. Shannon received a degree in French and Studio Art from the University of Richmond as well as a degree from Art Institute of Boston. When not at PBD, Shannon can be found volunteering at a summer camp in Maine, making beaded jewelry with her son to sell on their Etsy site, practicing yoga, or playing tennis.
Jennifer Whitty Dominguez
SENIOR DESIGNER
With nearly 20 years at PBD, Jen has found her niche designing resonant and eye-catching communications for clients ranging from colleges to nonprofits. After a short stint as an elementary school teacher, Jen found her true calling in graphic design. To make her dream a reality, she earned her second bachelor’s degree (you can never have too many) in Communication Design at the UC. When not designing, Jen can be found walking the trails of Raleigh, reading, and playing with her dog, Buddy.
Mary Reed
SENIOR DESIGNER
Put simply, creating infographics, charts, and graphs are in Mary’s DNA. With PBD since 2007, Mary’s an expert at transforming complex information into clear and beautiful communications. After earning her design credentials from MassArt, Mary worked in packaging design before joining PBD. An outdoor adventurist and artisan, Mary often spends her weekends hiking and exploring Maine and Vermont, silk screening, and photographing her two (adorable) cats.
Holly Broussard
SENIOR DESIGNER
Originally from Northern Virginia, Holly brings a little southern charm to each of her projects. Shortly after earning her BFA in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design, Holly joined Team PBD where she’s been ever since. In addition to collaborating with teammates and partners, Holly particularly likes working on conceptual pieces and seeing projects through from exploration to completion. Holly loves hiking, gardening, and playing board games.
